Introduction to Biblical Ethics with Tom Muma

Tom Muma is a homeschool dad and has a BS in electrical engineering degree from NCSU and an M-Div from CIU.

This course is designed to equip the student to be able to discern and apply biblical mandates and principles to both personal and social ethics. The student will develop a foundation from which to expand his/her own understandings and convictions regarding proper human behavior as prescribed in scripture. Emphasis on developing proper hermeneutical (determine the meaning of scripture) skills along with reasoning and critical thinking will be made concerning issues that are especially relevant to our culture today. Classroom time will largely be in discussion format to enhance the development of critical thinking skills in the student. Class will meet one day per week for 90 minutes at Crosspoint Community Church in downtown Boone. Homework time is estimated at a couple of hours per week.

Cost: $38 includes textbook (An Introduction to Biblical Ethics, Robertson McQuilkin, Paul Copan, Third Edition) Student must also have a Bible and a notebook to record homework results and classroom notes.

Length of course: 15 weeks beginning in August
